Hierdoor komt ook het aspect dataveiligheid meer en meer op tafel als gepreksonderwerp. Bedrijven hebben moeite met het kiezen van het juiste of werkbare veiligheidsniveau voor data delen. De iSHARE-standaard is een goede standaard en is voorzien van een dubbele controle. Toetreden tot het iSHARE-afsprakenstelsel biedt ons de kans om klanten nog meer veiligheid te bieden in de Simply Deliver cloudomgeving.”

Ten tweede is er een voordeel als de integratie tussen cloudsystemen plaatsvindt. De identificatie voor een individueel bedrijf is te doen met behulp van en EORI-nummer zonder dat je je druk hoeft te maken over de technische aspecten van het verhaal.”

Simply Deliver wil in alle gevallen klanten snel en makkelijk gebruik laten maken van het eigen platform. “Tegelijkertijd willen we de controle over de data voor onze klanten goed geregeld hebben. Dankzij iSHARE hebben klanten die gebruik maken van onze cloudoplossing de zekerheid dat partijen met wie zij data delen daadwerkelijk zijn wie ze zeggen dat ze zijn. Ik ben er echt heel trots op dat wij als eerste het certificeringsproces succesvol hebben afgerond. What is Proof of Delivery ?

“Avis de reception” meaning “Service of guaranteed delivery” is a method to establish the fact that the recipient received the content sent by the sender. First proof of delivery service was in 1917 for a post from Melbourne to Mexico. (Wikipedia)

It has evolved in time and it has turned into “digital signature”; yet I believe it’s obsolete! Don’t get me wrong, it was a significant innovation then but not anymore as many consumers are complaining about wrong deliveries, the packages dumped to their neighbors or wrong delivery notifications. That’s why a digital signature is so outdated and does not help to solve the problem!

Is there any solution without high investment? The answer is simply YES!

 

For instance; the receiver can sign the delivery from his/her own phone! Voilâ, you have the proof that the shipment has been delivered to the right person. Or autonomous signature thanks to geofencing and location matching. Another way, the receiver can authorize someone else to sign the POD on behalf.

When IT implementations are the subject, the first thought of the customer is;“It’s gonna us cost a fortune!”

Well, I can’t claim that it’s NOT true! The experiences in the market;

  1. There is a Wikipedia page that lists “List of failed and over budget custom software projects”. The total cost of these lost projects are approximately $25bn. (these are just publicly listed lost projects…) And many of them are failed due to wrong scope definition or too much scope creep.
  2. According to Gartner’s researches, almost 90% of the IT investments are for just to keep the lights on! In other words, huge maintenance cost. Top-3 reasons of the costs are old technology, on-premise solutions, and too-many customization.
